David Gordon - Investment Enhancement Vice President, Third Party Management and Accounting
Before joining Blue Rock Partners LLC Mr. Gordon was founder and CEO of Owners Property Management Corporation that, for twenty three years , managed a widely diverse portfolio of apartment properties in Florida, Georgia, Alabama, Kentucky, Texas and Tennessee encompassing cumulatively over 12,000 apartments. During this period, Mr. Gordon was directly involved in the planning, budgeting and implementation of over $50 million in property renovations. Prior to founding Owners Property Management, Mr. Gordon was the Division President of the Florida Division of Johnstown Properties and was responsible for supervising the management operations of over 9,700 apartments throughout the State of Florida. Prior to Johnstown Gordon was Management Vice President for First Property Management, Sam Zell's apartment management company. Here his portfolio consisted of over 6,000 apartments in five different states. He has done extensive consulting for owners and other management companies in the United States and Canada and has served as Receiver for properties on behalf of the courts in Hillsborough and Pinellas Counties, Florida. Mr. Gordon has been a General Partner in apartment investments in Florida and Alabama.
Mr. Gordon has resided in Florida for the past thirty four years. Since 1980 he has held the designation of Certified Property Manager (CPM) from the institute of Real Estate Management.
Gillian Kontos - Regional Manager
With more than 25 years in the Residential Property Management Field, Gillian brings a management style which focuses on mentoring and counseling with an obsession to superior customer service. Earning her Certfied Manager's designation and completeing the Professional Leasing Program Gillian oversees more than 2,000 units in the Tampa-Orlando region, and has been a member of Blue Rock since 2004.
Leslie Haselden - Regional Manager
Leslie brings over 24 years of specialized experience in the Multi-Family Industry and has served in the capacity of a Regional Property Manager or Regional Vice President, for the last thirteen years. Prior to joining Blue Rock Partners Leslie was with Pinnacle Properties handling over 2000 units throughout Florida. Leslie has successfully demonstrated a comprehensive understanding of many aspects of the multi-family industry throughout her career due to the diverse nature and special needs of her past assignments. One of her proven strengths is in assisting with determining financial viability of potential acquisitions through property due diligence studies. Closely related is her strength in financial management and cost control of current properties, demonstrated through long-term budget forecasting and capital expense planning, ensuring a turnaround of occupancy resulting in revenue improvement with profit maximization. Leslie's experience in the area of property construction and renovation management allows her to assist in the strategic planning aspects of various construction projects, including market penetration planning.
Leslie reinforces her skills through continuing education and works to stay informed of developments in the industry by maintaining several designations through industry organizations such as The Institute of Real Estate Management (IREM), where she holds the Certified Property Manager (CPM) Candidate and Accredited Residential Manager (ARM) designations. She also serves on the Executive Council for IREM Chapter 44.
Robert A. Brillon - Commercial Leasing Manager
Bob Brillon brings to Blue Rock Partners over 30 years experience in the commercial real estate industry. After graduating the Stern School of Business & Real Estate at NYU, Bob launched his career at the corporate headquarters of Cushman & Wakefield in New York City. He later opened a New England branch operation for the company in Hartford, Connecticut to serve the commercial brokerage needs of the expanding Insurance and emerging Technology industries.
Brillon has extensive building construction background and has overseen numerous multi-million dollar office, residential and interior Tenant renovation projects. Over the past eleven years Bob's focus has been on suburban office park development, marketing, leasing, sales and management throughout Florida. Bob has closed over two-million square feet of prime medical offices, technology suites, corporate headquarters facilities and flex / light manufacturing space.
In spring 2010, Brillon expanded the marketing and leasing effort at the Park at Bay Plaza, a 160,000 square foot commercial office development owned and managed by Blue Rock Partners.
